In private practice since 1979, Martin was a founding director of FordBaker Valuation Ltd before temporarily departing in 1989. His valuation career then spanned Darroch Ltd, H G Livingstone, and Colliers International New Zealand through amalgamations. Holding managerial and directorship roles, Martin returned to FordBaker Valuation in 2014. With significant expertise in commercial, industrial, and development project properties for market, mortgage, rental, and feasibility purposes, he has a particular interest in bulk retail premises valuation. Martin's specialist areas include rental assessments, arbitrations, corporate valuations, and extensive experience as an expert witness in arbitration and litigation. Beyond valuation, Martin's notable passion involves breeding slow racehorses, with a commitment to producing the next NZ Cup Winner. Additionally, he claims outstanding general knowledge, a trait that time will undoubtedly reveal.
